El 21 de febrero arrancó en Brasil uno de los carnavales más coloridos y fastuosos del mundo: el de Río de Janeiro, que irá hasta el 26 de febrero próximo con 408 comparsas que adornan con su baile el Sambódromo de la ciudad costera. Debido al flujo de turistas, las autoridades dispusieron decenas de camas y entrenaron a trabajadores médicos para identificar y atender posibles casos de coronavirus. Una emergencia distinta vive el Carnaval de Venecia 2020.
