Mandatarios regionales y congresistas han advertido que la medida compromete la moral de la fuerza pública y genera incertidumbre en las regiones afectadas por el conflicto.
Según las autoridades, la menor fue reportada como desaparecida por su familia en la ciudad de Taft, en el condado de Kern, California, en la madrugada del domingo 13 de abril.
El temblor, registrado a una profundidad de 33 kilómetros, se sintió en Antigua y Barbuda, San Cristóbal y las Nieves y Montserrat. Es el segundo sismo ocurrido en la región en las últimas 48 horas.
