Miles de gallinas pudieron disfrutar de unas cortas horas de libertad este martes después de que el camión que las transportaba perdiera la carga en plena autopista austriaca, lo que obligó a cortar el tráfico.

Los animales quedaron desperdigados en un radio de un centenar de metros, según la policía, que tuvo que emplearse a fondo para atrapar a las aterrorizadas aves. Centenares de gallináceas no tuvieron la misma suerte, puesto que murieron en el accidente.

Según las autoridades, el camión transportaba unas 7.000 gallinas. El accidente ocurrió en la autopista entre Viena y Linz (norte), y provocó un tapón de catorce kilómetros.
