La tormenta Florence desplegaba su furia en la costa atlántica de Estados Unidos, con fuertes vientos y lluvias torrenciales que dejaban varios muertos y "catastróficas" inundaciones con cientos de personas atrapadas que equipos de rescate buscaban socorrer. Cinco estados costeros fueron declarados en estado de emergencia.
